Sparkly Schools is a new kind of learning village where young people learn real-world skills from real experts.
We believe education should be practical, creative, human, and connected to the real world.
To make this happen, we are bringing together a group of Sparkly Founders — people with deep knowledge, strong skills, and generous hearts who want to help shape something new.
What is a Sparkly Founder?
A Sparkly Founder is someone who brings a craft, skill or field of expertise into the Sparkly Schools world.
Founders help create learning experiences where students don’t just learn something — they learn how to do it, share it, and teach it to others.
Sparkly Schools is built around the idea that young people learn best when they are trusted with real work and guided by people who love what they do.
The kinds of founders we are looking for
We are looking for people who love their craft and want to share it.
This might include people such as:
Foragers and nature guides
Growers and gardeners
Chefs and food creators
Makers, woodworkers and builders
Artists and designers
Therapists and wellbeing practitioners
Animal care specialists
Engineers and inventors
Educators who believe learning could be different
If you love teaching through doing, Sparkly Schools needs you.
What founders do
Sparkly Founders help to:
• design practical learning modules
• mentor sparkly young people
• share their knowledge and craft
• help shape the culture of the school
• build a place where curiosity and creativity thrive
Students might learn in gardens, kitchens, workshops, forests, studios or labs.
Sparkly Schools is about learning through real life.
Why Sparkly Schools exists
Many bright, creative and neurodivergent young people struggle in traditional education systems.
Sparkly Schools exists to create a place where those young people can:

contribute to their communities
Help build something new
Sparkly Schools is at the beginning of its journey.
We are looking for founders who want to help build something meaningful from the ground up.
People who believe education can be more human, more practical, and more hopeful.
If you feel a spark when you read this, we would love to hear from you.
Tell us:
• what you love doing
• what you could teach
• how you imagine sharing your craft with young people
Together we can build a place where sparkly minds shine.
