The Sparkly Education Framework™
Sparkly Education™ explores what learning could look like if it was designed to support human flourishing, not just academic performance.
The Sparkly framework focuses on five foundations of learning.
1. Safety First
Sparkly People™ learn best when their nervous systems feel safe.
Sparkly learning environments prioritise:
• calm spaces
• emotional safety
• predictable routines
• understanding sensory needs
• supportive adults
When children feel safe, curiosity and learning naturally grow.
2. Understanding the Sparkle
(Self-knowledge)
Sparkly People learn how their minds and bodies work.
This includes learning about:
• emotions
• sensory needs
• focus and energy
• rest and recovery
• strengths and differences
Children are supported to understand that their differences can also be strengths.
3. Practical Learning
Sparkly Education values real-world learning.
Instead of only sitting at desks, learners develop skills through meaningful activities such as:
• hospitality
• cooking
• nature and gardening
• caring for others
• creative projects
• community activities
These experiences help learners build confidence, independence and teamwork.
4. Creativity and Curiosity
Sparkly People are often naturally imaginative.
Sparkly Education encourages:
• storytelling
• art and design
• building and making
• problem solving
• asking questions
• exploring ideas
Curiosity is treated as a strength to nurture, not something to control.
5. Community and Kindness
Sparkly learning communities focus on connection.
Learners practice:
• empathy
• cooperation
• helping others
• sharing skills
• contributing to the community
Sparkly Education believes kindness and collaboration are essential life skills.
Sparkly People Ninja Training
Alongside the learning framework, learners can take part in Sparkly People Ninja Training.
This helps them develop tools for:
• calming the nervous system
• protecting their sparkle
• building resilience
• supporting other Sparkly People
A Growing Idea
Sparkly Education is still evolving.
It is being shaped through conversations with:
• teachers
• parents
• neurodivergent adults
• wellbeing practitioners
• creative thinkers
The goal is simple:
to explore how learning environments could help more people flourish.
