The Sparkly People Visual Vision ✨
Sparkly People is not supposed to look perfect.
It is supposed to feel alive.
Warm. Natural. Human. Joyful. Slightly wonky.
Full of texture, nature, colour, handwriting, imagination and little unexpected details.
The Sparkly world is being built around one central idea:
People are not problems to be fixed - they have gifts to notice, understand and grow.
Being human is perfectly imperfect ✨💞🌿
At the moment, Sparkly People website uses AI-generated graphics.
That is part of the process, not the finished vision.
AI allows me to get ideas out of my head quickly when fatigue, brain fog or overwhelm would otherwise create a barrier - I have MS, surgical menopause, and I’m super sparkly 😊✨
It helps me say:
“like THIS. This. No. This..”
I’ve turned the Sketching it out - Setting the Scene into a sort of rap song
Now I want human creativity to take over - to just demonstrate how much more beautiful it is.
Human creations have emotion in them.
People can feel them. ✨
Slowly, the AI graphics will be replaced with work created by real people — illustrators, designers, photographers, makers, children, young people and members of the Sparkly community.
I want people to be able to watch that transformation happen.
AI as scaffolding.
Human creativity as the building.
What should Sparkly People feel like?
Think:
✨ a beautiful old nature notebook
✨ something drawn at a kitchen table
✨ treasured children’s illustrations
✨ pencil marks still visible
✨ imperfect circles
✨ tiny dots and sparkles
✨ pressed flowers and leaves
✨ natural textures
✨ beautiful handwriting
✨ objects collected on walks
✨ little moments of magic
✨ colour without visual overwhelm
✨ joyful rather than childish
✨ playful without becoming twee
It should feel as though lots of different human hands have helped create it.
Because eventually, I hope they will have.
The colours have meaning
Colour in the Sparkly world is not decoration.
Each colour represents a Human Gift.
The key to the gifts

These colours appear throughout Spark Pods, illustrations, learning materials and the wider Sparkly world.
They should be used gently and intentionally.
The natural world should always sit underneath it.
Earthy textures. Greens. Paper. Wood. Stone. Seeds. Sunshine.
Then the colours spark out.
Nature is us. We are nature. And just as beautiful.
Sparkly People is built around the idea that people flourish when the conditions around them allow them to.
Nature isn’t a decoration.
It is part of the philosophy.
Creativity belongs here
I hope every generation helps create the Sparkly world.
Not tokenistically.
Properly.
A grandparent might design a bee.
Gen Z might draw a flower.
Millenials might create a Spark Pod symbol.
Someone who struggles enormously in school/work/life might happen to be an extraordinary illustrator/crearor.
Their work could sit proudly on the website with something as simple as:

I want Sparkly People to become somewhere creativity is used, valued and celebrated.

clinically therapeutic-looking

perfectly symmetrical
overly polished
beige
infantilising
visually overwhelming
full of stock illustrations
obviously AI-generated
It shouldn’t feel like a company trying to manufacture joy.
It should feel like people made it because they cared.
Who I would love to collaborate with
I am looking for people who understand this world and want to help shape it.
All generations. All kinds of creativity.
Illustrators.
Doodlers.
Graphic designers.
Hand-lettering artists.
Photographers.
Animators.
Textile artists.
Teachers.
Parents.
Young people.
Children.
🧩 Systems people — the people who can take a gazillion ideas and make them actually work together.
And creative people with skills I haven’t thought of yet.
